WordPress 5.5 update breaking websites :Don’t upgrade to WP5.5 if you have these plugins installed.

I’ve had enough about the mess caused by upgrading WP5.5 since there’re nearly 100 plugins in my site, it took me hours to locate the conflict, I can confirm a few of them are directly caused by WP upgrade..

said /michaeledi Reddit user and he also named the plugins that if you use you should don’t upgrade WordPress 5.5:

Here’re is the Listing of affected plugins, you might need to keep Tabs on them before upgrading to the Latest version(my Surroundings is using PHP7.4, the Problem Isn’t tested on other PHP versions):

Gravity Flow

Don’t update WP5.5 in the event you own GravityFlow! After you upgrade the WP database, you’ll discover all of your inbox webpage link redirected to a same certain path, which is caused by the’do_redirect_guess_404_permalink’ filter, and it will automatically redirect any 404 page to a wise destination, you can turn off this filter, but it will not help in any way, because the first inbox page detail url will turn 404. They have replicated this matter and I informed the writer and are working on a cure. Until release I suggest that you take off the upgrade of WP 5.5

WP-Rocket + Woocommerce-Don’t upgrade to WP5.5 if you have these plugins installed

This is a know issue and another user has already warned, I encountered the same issue. But seems a new fixed version of WP-Rocket is released. You can try it.

FAST Ticket Support plugin

This one really has no direct conflict with WP5.5, the problem occured when I used WP Downgrade to roll back the WP variation to 5.4.2, all of the ticket content is displayed as vacant, but the comment data(that the ticket plugin is using as a source to display tickets) isn’t misplaced, I reckon the new WP is changing the database structure that leads to a confusion for this plugin to comprehend the ticket info from opinions data. Anyway, do not update then downgrade the WP version if you have this plugin installed.

I haven’t noticed any significant issue with other plugins yet, but I’m really frustrated of this big update by WP, it tampered with a lot of things in a progressive way, I hope the plugin author can be responsive and solve the issue, but also look forward to the more awesome feature of WP new version. Love the zip update feature! I can get rid of another plugin now!
